Prerequisites for this course:  candidate must

  • be 17yrs of age on the date of final assessment
  • hold a current Bronze Medallion
  • hold a current SLSA IRB Crewperson Certificate Award

NOTE: NSW Maritime (Waterways) Licence WILL BE REQUIRED to commence IRB Driver Certificate (no licence, no start).  http://www.waterways.nsw.gov.au/boatingsafety.html    Boating Handbooks are available from the club office.

All persons who are awarded an IRB license (crew and or driver) are to serve a six (6) months probationary period until they become eligible to compete in IRB events for MLSC  or alternatively a suitable qualification period depending on their experience as approved by the Club Captain.
