IRB Crew and Drivers Course
IRB Crew - Tuesday 24th Jan 7pm-9:30pm
Saturday 28th Jan 7am-12:00pm
Saturday 4th Feb 7am-12:00pm
Saturday 11th Feb Refresher from 7am-9am and then Assessment followed by BBQ.
IRB Crew – 18th & 19th February , 7:30am-12pm each day with exam on 25th February 11am – 1pm.

To be able to take part in this course you must hold a Bronze medallion, have completed your Bronze proficiency for the 2011-2012 season and be a financial member of Manly LSC. Candidate must be 17yrs of age on the date of final assessment
Crewing an IRB can be very physically demanding and you should only undertake this course if you feel confident. If you have any concerns before or during the course please contact me or one of the trainers.
It is our aim to cater for the special needs of all our participants. If you feel you have additional learning needs or may require extra assistance, please speak with your trainer before the first day of your course or at your induction session.
Prerequisite: IRB DRIVER COURSE - dates to be scheduled in late April / May
Prerequisite - current SLSA IRB Crewperson Certificate Award
NOTE: NSW Maritime (Waterways) Licence WILL BE REQUIRED to commence IRB Driver Certificate (no licence, no start). http://www.waterways.nsw.gov.au/boatingsafety.html Boating Handbooks are available from the club office.

MLSC By Law I-2 IRB Competition eligibility
All persons who are awarded an IRB license (crew and or driver) are to serve a six (6) months probationary period until they become eligible to compete in IRB events for MLSC or alternatively a suitable qualification period depending on their experience as approved by the Club Captain.
