TELSTRA BEACH TO BUSH

The Telstra Beach to Bush program is all about helping kids in rural (inland) Australia become more aware of the risks associated with the surf and local waterways. It’s a great way to teach those kids who probably don’t experience the surf as often as those who live on, or near the coast just how important it is to enjoy the beach safely. The program involves highly experienced surf lifesavers travelling to schools all over regional Australia and delivering fun, interactive 45 to 60 minute water safety sessions. The sessions increase awareness of the risks around water, as well as ways to minimise these risks.
